- Family Tree University Virtual Conference, March 9-11, online! Instructors include Thomas MacEntee, Lisa A. Alzo, Lisa Louise Cooke, Diana Crisman Smith, and Nancy Hendrickson. Since the classes are pre-recorded, you may download it during the conference days for later viewing. Early bird registration ends Feb. 13. Register early and save $50!
- National Genealogical Society annual conference, “The Ohio River: Gateway to the Western Frontier,” May 9-12, 2012, at Cincinnati, Ohio
- Southern California Genealogical Society and Family Research Library will host the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree, June 8-10, 2012, at Burbank, California.
- Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research (IGHR), June 10-15, 2012, at Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama.
- Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP), July 22-27, 2012 at Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. This is GRIP’s first year. Instructors include Thomas W. Jones, PhD, CG, CGL, John Humphrey, CG, Paula Stuart-Warren, CG, and D. Joshua Taylor. Registration opened Tuesday, Feb. 7. These courses are expected to fill quickly.
- BYU Conference on Family History and Genealogy, July 31-August 3, 2012, at Provo, Utah.
- Federation of Genealogical Societies annual conference, “Indians, Squatters, Settlers and Soldiers in the ‘Old Southwest,” August 29-Sept 1, 2012, at Birmingham, Alabama.
- 8th Annual Wholly Genes Genealogy Conference and Cruise, Sept 16-23, 2013, Alaska’s Inside Passage on the Star Princess leaving from Seattle, Washington. As if you needed an excuse to go on a cruise, right? This cruise combines the best of both worlds with speakers Thomas W. Jones, J. Mark Lowe, Debra S. Miezala, Paul Milner, Craig Scott, and Thomas MacEntee! What a lineup with more than 17 hours of lectures!
- Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy (SLIG), January 14-18, 2013. Registration opens June 2, 2012.
- RootsTech, March 21-23, 2013, at Salt Lake City, Utah.
